Week 7 Monday 9/22 WARM UP: In your Journal, provide a situation in which each if the following properties of a material might be important: a.) elasticity, b.) uniformity, c.) strength, and d.) bounce e.) malleability. Week 8 Big Idea: Mass and Volume Demonstrate the ability to: Follow written directions to complete an investigation Take accurate measurements using a graduated cylinder and an electronic balance. Write a clear an accurate procedure for conducting an investigation. Be able to calculate the density of an irregularly shaped object. Monday 9/29 - Mass and Volume WARM-UP: WDYT? on page 48. Discuss with your small group. REVIEW the use of an electronic balance and a graduated cylinder using correct precision. INVESTIGATE: Part A. Mass and Volume of Liquids Homework: READ Chem Talk, "DENSITY" pp 52-54. Write the definitions for the vocabulary words on pg 52 in your lab journal. Answer Checking Up questions 1-3.
